Google Reader / Bit.ly Mashup

When I post things to Google Reader from around the web, I would like to know a little bit more about how those items are consumed. I found that bit.ly is a great way to track links you send out into the world.
For awhile I was hand editing the iframe that the Google Reader Bookmarkelette creates, but that got tedious. First I wanted to try and use another bookrmarklette, but because of the iframe I ran into cross-origin problems. So then I struck on the idea of creating a google chrome extension. I use chrome on my mac as my main browser, and I was going to learn some new tools.
So I couldn’t figure out how to package the extension so you could just install it, but I did put it up on github so people can download it and load it up themsevles. Or if some person would like to package it that would be great too.
