Wacchen just went past a 1000 users

Wacchen, from day 1, has been my biggest personally built website. Many other people felt my personal anguish that their wasn’t something that allowed me to save videos to watch later. That is what has made Wacchen useful. I walked into an existing, wide spread need. Also I can’t help but think that with out a certain other save it later site, I don’t think people would “get it”, when I told them what I do.

Anyway, I keep making small changes, and I am working on some new integrations. First up was OExchange support. OExchange is a standard for all these services that allow you to send a URL to them. I wanted to support this so that users could start hacking their own solutions for adding videos to Wacchen.

Second, I am supporting a no-auth add. This is for people who want to add videos without having to be logged in. Essentially, you just need to grab your ID from, http://wacchen.com/show-my-id, then you can use a URL like this, http://wacchen.com/[my-id]/add?url=. Then just pass in the URL of the page with the video on it, and Wacchen will try as hard as it can to extract out the video.
